The MHSC (Mine Health & Saftey Council) was mandated to host the Summit bi-annually on issues of the Occupational Health and Safety for the mining industry. The MHSC seeked to appoint a service provider to develop a Handbook for the MHSC Summit.

The layout and design of this handbook and ebook was developed to showcase the programmes and research work conducted for the past 10 years by MHSC. Interviews with various stakeholders were conducted. This handbook was showcased at the 2014 MHSC Summit, held on the 18th & 19th of November 2014.
